A little of this and a little of that (last week's happenings)

Last Sunday "the girls" (I could write a whole other post on that phrase) had a little shower for our lifetime friend, Kris! She and her husband our expecting their first little one in December. I could not be more excited for them and I can't wait to meet baby Noah! Unfortunately, I didn't get the pictures that I had planned on taking but here are a few of the decorations.
Kris, I love you, and here's to a quick last couple months!

Brandi, I had such fun running around with you. Thank you for teaching me how to make diaper cakes. Isn't she great?!

Randomness from last week:

Here's a little fun project idea that Ellie and I worked on. Such a great way to "recycle" broken crayons.

Step 1: Take the wrapper off of the broken crayons.
Step 2: Line a muffin-tin compartment with at least 3 paper liners (so that melting crayons will not seep through).
Step 3: Have children place crayons in the liners, about 2/3 full. Bake the crayons at 350 for about 10 mins.
Step 4: Children can enjoy their new circular crayons. Math/Science lesson: that liquids take the shape of their container, how heat causes change. :-) How's that for nerdy? If one is going to homeschool, they have to get used to it at some point.

Ellie wrote her name... not so easy with these crayons.

Don't you love when a 3 year olds state the obvious. The other day I overheard Ellie and Cory playing... she said, " Daddy you have pillows all over you." Hmmm.... how did those get there?

I will leave you with a twin blog debut... They are R-O-L-L-I-N-G over!! Usually that would make a momma happy, but that means crawling is next! Yikes! Here's some pics, not the best, but hey...

Until next time....

All that I can say is, "Wow!"

Check this out! What an amazing story! There is a part II of Gianna Jessen's talk. I couldn't get it to copy on the post, but you can find it on YouTube along with this video.

Manic Monday...

I could post about how I lost my keys to our van on Friday.... but that is a sore subject around here. BTW, they are still missing. How does one manage to lose their keys after only being home for 30 mins?? We have looked EVERYWHERE! Argh!

I could also (and actually had planned to) post about a baby shower held for a dear friend of mine, Kris. But... I left my camera over a Whitney's house. I think I should get that back today, so maybe tomorrow.

OR... I could "entertain" you all with this fabulous video... I am not sure what is more scary... the 3 girls on the video or the fact that my girlfriends and I used to do similar things. Oh... the thought... crack me up! AND the very scary thing... I now have 3 girls of my own.

SO... without delay... Happy Manic Monday my people!

Fun at Home

This morning I was having a little fun with Ellie making dough shapes and then we baked them to make necklaces. Midway through our project, she puts the dough on her nose and says, "Look! I'm a clown" Have mercy....

(Yes, we were still in our jams)

Yes, I will blog about something other than just Ellie. These just happened to be my latest pictures.

First Day of Preschool

NOTE- Until I can figure out how to do these pictures with writing, I am going to have to post like this. The above pictures are of her at preschool with Ms. Sarah and Ms. Carol. She has so much fun that I found her crashed out on the floor at home.

We (well...let's be honest, I) broke down and signed Ellie up for preschool. This girl would never stop if it were up to her. She loves a plan of action. Every morning she wakes up asking, "What's today?" My answer (in my mind): Let's see... changing diapers, feeding your sisters, hopefully getting laundry done, feeding your sisters, entertaining a certain sweet, little, energized cutie, named Ellie. Oh... and did I mention changing diapers and feeding your sisters. So, that is where he whole preschool thought was birthed.

We started Ellie in preschool a couple weeks ago. She is only there for 4 hours, 2 days a week. It is just perfect enough to have some of that "gotta get it out of system" time. She loves it! Oh yeah, we arrive at preschool and drop off is at the playground (or park if you were talking to her), and she just hops in there. Um....hello.... does your mommy get a hug? "Oh Yeah", she says. Oh the girl was killing her momma.... never mind that I spent every waking 3 years with you. :-) I was very happy for her though. She is loving this little preschool world of her and feels so comfortable there. Oh my! How my girl is "growing up".

Why just be a stalker?

Well, here I am! I have so enjoyed reading the blogs of many other friends (and those that now feel like I know as friends), so why not join the fun. This is my attempt to journal our life for my three little girls under 4 yrs. old. As well as, keeping out of town relatives and friends up on our lives. And... because I have been so nerdy to faithfully read the blogs of friends I see weekly, I wouldn't want to leave them out either.
